El Portal de Los Ombues, Uruguay.

From Peru I took a flight to Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay.
Uruguay is a tiny country with only 3 mill. inhabitants.
The country borders to Brazil in the north, Argentina in the west and the Atlantic Ocean in the east and south.
Montevideo has 1,5 mill. residents.

I took the buss from Montevideo to Minas where Elena picked me up.

We drove to El Portal de Los Ombues.

This is a sheep farm and a yoga-and meditation center. Here I should work and live for one month.

View from my bedroom window early in the morning. The sheeps slept outside my house every night. I lived in the white house.

Together with my new friends; Daniela, Sofia, Elena and Lila.
Elena and Sofia bought this place eight years ago and built all these nice buildings. At the moment Lila is building a hexagonal house on the property.  She is planning to live permanently here as soon as it gets ready.

Elena playing the violin in the meditation room.
Most of the time there were only Elena and me living on the farm. We became very close friends and we will probably meet eachother again in Europe since she is Spanish and visits her parents at regular intervals.

This hairy spider is not dangerous to humans nor sheeps.

Sweet Maria believes she is a human, allways following us and begging for attention, love and food. Maria is expecting babies in a few weeks.
All the sheeps that belongs to this farm will only be used for wool production since the people living here are vegetarians and really care for their fellow animals. Knowing this makes me very happy🤗🤗🤗!

Elena does workshops where they spin and color the yarn.

Elena also has ceramic courses. Here are some of the things she has created.

Theos and Lila early in the morning.

Tito, the cat, with walking problems caused by playing with the hard-tempered dogs.

Elena and Tito. Our fury friend is looking out at the rainy weather.😽

Tito on my lap and Maria. I guess she wanted to come inside and sit on my lap too.

In Uruguay and the southern part of this continent its autumn in May and the weather can be pretty wet and cold.

I used materials from an old sheep house to make a wardrobe.
Together with Elena we started on a big statue, but because of the wet weather we never finished it. We did gardening and looked after the sheeps.  And last but not least we picked a lot of poop.

At the end of the plot I found The Secred Forest.

The nearby town Minas is 12 km away from El Portal de Los Ombues.

This is me like trying to drink MATE. A tradisional drink made of wather and herbs.🙄🙄🙄
