The International Labor Day

Among the soldiers on Plaza de Armas in Cuzco I was so lucky to take part in the celebration of Labor Day.

Because 1.of May this year was on a Monday the peruvians had to celebrate the day on Sunday.

It was a colorful spectacle of music and dance lasting for several hours.

Some of the Inkas wore Ukuku masks, symbolizing their perspectiv of life. 

They danced with dead alpacas wrapped around their bodies. This symbolized the trade they do when they are selling salted alpaca meat.
